HOUSING DISCRIMINATION STUDY (HDS)

INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGY PROJECT

Participants will:

  • Contribute to expanding research methods to study housing discrimination
  • Shape future research on housing discrimination
  • Engage with policy makers and researchers on cutting edge methods for studying discrimination
  • Support the feasibility test and get compensated if HUD selects your methodology
  • Publish findings of the feasibility study in a peer-reviewed journal
  • Receive an honorarium of $1,000 if your methodology is recommended to HUD

Our Goal

Our goal is to identify new and existing methodologies that augment housing discrimination research based on existing testing approaches like paired testing and sandwich testing.

We seek innovative and creative methodologies, including modifications of existing methodologies, from individuals interested in contributing to measurement and research of housing discrimination.

We will review and recommend up to 10 methodologies to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). You will be able to engage with leaders in the field of discrimination study and, potentially, shape the research agenda for HUD’s future discrimination research projects.
